BW350-SR1 Kit
SKU: BW350-SR1 Cast
Model: BW350
Weight: 0.09 lbs

Description:This kit includes the same propeller shaft seal retainer as the BW350-SR2 kit, but has a different Input Shaft retainer.
The differences are due to changes in the input shaft seal retainer boss design during development. Early cast aluminum gearboxes will need the BW350-SR1 kit because the retainer boss was shorter and the input shaft seal is flush with the outer surface. This is visible looking up from the bottom of the gearbox. (During development some cast cases may have the taller input shaft boss. If the input shaft seal on your gearbox is seated below the boss surface measure how much and call us.)
The top one goes on the cone for the propeller shaft seal. The bottom one goes on the back of the gearbox for the input shaft seal. See installation pictures below.
All screws are #8-32 x 3/8. The BW350-SR1 kit comes with six screws, three for each retainer. Hold each retainer tightly in place and center punch through the center of each hole. Install screws with red high temperature thread locker from Loktite or Permatex.
Drill a pilot hole for the screws 9/16” deep for all six holes. You can make the depth on the drill bit with tape or a drill collar. Then enlarge the hole with up to a 11/64” drill bit. The threads need to be tapped using a “bottom” type tap.
IT IS PREFERED NOT TO DRILL ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE CASE! If this should happen replace the thread locker with a thread sealer.

BW350-SR2 Kit
SKU: BW350-SR2 CNC
Model: BW350
Weight: 0.06 lbs

Description: This kit includes the same propeller shaft seal retainer as the BW350-S1 kit, but has a different Input Shaft retainer.
The differences are due to changes in the input shaft seal retainer boss design during development. Later CNC machined aluminum gearboxes will need the BW350-SR2 kit because the retainer boss is deeper and the shaft seal fully seated is 0.20” to 0.24” below the surface of the boss. This is visible looking up from the bottom of the gearbox.
The top one goes on the cone for the propeller shaft seal. The bottom one goes on the back of the gearbox for the input shaft seal. See installation pictures below.
The BW350-SR2 kit comes with three #8-32 x 3/8 screws for the Propeller Shaft Seal Retainer. Hold the retainer tightly in place and center punch through the center of each hole. Install screws with red high temperature thread locker from Loktite or Permatex.
Drill a pilot hole for the screws 9/16” deep.
The Input Shaft Retainer is a one-way ring pressed in ring. Simply place the ring over the hole with the tangs facing towards you and press it all the way in to the seal. A short piece of 1 ½” PCV pipe cut square on the end works great for this.

Polyurethane Isolator Upgrade
SKU: PEI-01
Model: PEI-01
Weight: 0.40 lbs

Description: These polyurethane isolators are direct replacements for the REI-01 rubber isolators. They are slightly stiffer and stronger to eliminate engine drooping caused by the forward rubber isolators. Each location, aft left, aft right, forward left, or forward right requires two isolators. The old rubber isolators should be replaced in sets, and the left and right sets must match. It is recommended to replace all eight isolators at the same time. The added stiffness in the aft mounts will help to reduce any side-to-side motion as well. The pricing is for a full set of 8 isolators.
Individually priced at $8.00 each
Price: $60.00 for a full set of 8
